On September 4, 2020, the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeenko introduced the new head Vasily Gerasimov to the staff of the State Control Committee.
“Yesterday the President made personnel decisions on the appointment of Ivan Tertel as Chairman of the State Security Committee, Vasily Gerasimov as Acting Chairman of the State Control Committee. The new heads of agencies have been assigned specific tasks, adjusted to take into account the current situation, - said Igor Sergeenko. - Both organizations work together on a number of materials, hand in hand, performing tasks to protect economic security, fight corruption, financial crime, embezzlement of public funds. The task is the same for both agencies: the protection of national interests, the interests of our country and our people. "
The head of the Belarus President Administration congratulated Vasily Gerasimov on his appointment and wished him success in his work.
Acting head of Belarus SAI assured that the State Control Committee and the State Security Committee will continue to work closely together, preserving and increasing interaction.
In turn, Ivan Tertel noted that high-class specialists work in the State Control Committee. According to him, this is a strong team that copes with the tasks set by the Head of State.
