The State Control Committee held a meeting with the participants of the joint audit on compliance with the procedure for the crediting and distribution of import customs duties in the EEU

Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee Andrei Lobovich discussed with representatives of the supreme audit institutions (SAIs) of the EEU countries the preliminary results of the joint audit conducted on the issue of compliance by the authorised body of Belarus (the Ministry of Finance) with the requirements of the Protocol on the procedure for the crediting and distribution of import customs duties (other duties, taxes and levies with equivalent effect) and their transfer to the budgets of the EEU member states.

Joint inspections on this issue are carried out annually in turn in each of the EAEU member states. This year, similar control activities involving representatives of the control bodies of each EEU state took place in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, and will soon take place in Armenia. The audited bodies are the Ministries of Finance and Treasury. In the course of the current control activity the activity of the Ministry of Finance of Belarus was studied.

At the meeting with the participants of the joint inspection, it was noted that the Belarusian side complied with the requirements of the Protocol. The inspection did not reveal any violations by the authorized body of the Republic of Belarus. The Ministry of Finance ensured the correctness of compiling reports on the crediting and distribution of import customs duties, as well as the timeliness of sending the relevant information to the authorized bodies of the EEU countries.

The final results of the joint audit on the issue of compliance by the authorised bodies of the EAEU countries with the requirements of the Protocol on the procedure for the crediting and distribution of import customs duties (other duties, taxes and levies having equivalent effect) and their transfer to the budget revenues of the EAEU member states will be summed up at the end of this year at the meeting of the boards (authorized persons) of the SAIs of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia in Moscow.
