The working meeting with representatives of the technical mission of the International Monetary Fund on the issues of fiscal risks assessment and state financial management was held in the State Control Committee on December 8, 2017.
The meeting was held by Deputy Chairman Aleksandr Kurlypo with participation of heads of subject matter departments of the State Control Committee.
The participants of the meeting discussed the specifics of control activities in Belarus, the tasks of the State Control Committee in this area. Particular attention was paid to the control over the expenditure of budgetary funds and the use of state property, the preparation of accounting reports by budget organizations.
IMF representatives expressed interest in participation of SAI experts in the development of a "roadmap" for the introduction of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) in the public sector in Belarus. The Ministry of Finance of Belarus with the IMF support has begun preparing a draft of the relevant document.
Participants of the meeting expressed mutual interest in continuing of cooperation.
