On December 27, 2019, the Chairman of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov congratulated children living in the Children's Home No. 3 of Minsk city on New Year and Christmas holidays, and gave the presents to the children and to the Children's Home.
Boys and girls received sweets, and the orphanage received a multifunctional machine for printing, scanning and photocopying documents, two washing vacuum cleaners. All gifts were purchased for personal funds of employees of the central office of the State Control Committee and the Financial Investigations Department.
“This charity event is not a formality. We are driven by the feeling that every adult should have - the desire to make children happier,” said Leonid Anfimov.
Participation in the republican charity event "Our Children" has already become a good tradition. In previous years, employees of the State Control Committee in the New Year’s days visited the Zhdanovichi orphanage (it was closed). “And this is far from the only boarding institution that has ceased to exist, because it simply has disappeared,” the head of the control department emphasized. - According to statistics, in recent years the number of children who need guardianship of the state has decreased by two-thirds. Parents are less likely to abandon their children, more and more orphans find shelter and love in foster care.”
