Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee - Director of the Financial Investigations Department Igor Marshalov took part at the XIX session of the Coordination Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigation Agencies of CIS member states that was held in Kazan (Russia) on 15 September 2017.
The event was attended by delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The tax (financial) investigation bodies of Uzbekistan, Latvia and Estonia participated in the session as observers.
The meeting examined the activities of the tax (financial) investigation authorities of the CIS member states to ensure the economic security of their states. Budget replenishment and minimization of budget losses were among the key issues of the agenda. In addition, the participants discussed training and retraining of specialists of the tax authorities (financial) investigations in the CIS.
The participants of the meeting analyzed the interagency cooperation in the detection of tax offences. Special attention was given to the measures to prevent the financing of terrorism and extremism. The work plan of the council for 2017-2018 was discussed at the session.
