The signing ceremony took place after the meeting between the head of Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova and a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Zhao Leji. The head of the control body took part in the discussion of issues relating to the development of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation.
The memorandum provides for giving consultative and expert assistance on the organization of control, the implementation of joint projects, as well as the exchange of experience, the study of the principles, mechanisms and methods of state control. Bilateral cooperation will also be aimed at preventing and combating corruption and training of specialists in the sphere of fighting corruption.
Previously, the State Control Committee carried out cooperation with the Ministry of Control of China which was abolished in the result of the reform of the state apparatus in March 2018. The functions the Ministry of Control were transferred to the established State Committee of Control of the People’s Republic of China.
