The Delegation of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee of Belarus headed by Director Grigory Veremko took part in the XIV meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Heads of tax (financial) investigations bodies of the CIS member states that was held in Odessa (Russian Federation).
At the meeting were reviewed the implementation of the decisions of the previous thirteenth meeting and the realization of the Interstate Program of joint measures for the fight against the crime for 2011-2013. During the meeting were defined the priority directions of cooperation of tax (financial) investigations bodies. The participants discussed the efforts coordination to improve cooperation in the fight against financial (tax) crimes.
Director of the Department of Financial Investigations of Belarus Grigory Veremko in his speech informed of the activities carried out by the Department against financial crime schemes and also touched on issues related to crime prevention in the area of mutual settlements with foreign companies.
Following a meeting it was decided to analyze the crime situation in the main sectors of the economy of the CIS member states and to organize a set of measures for joint activity.
