Representatives of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee took part in the Concluding Meeting of the OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum in Prague


Representatives of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee took part in the Concluding Meeting of the 28th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum on the theme “Promoting security, stability and economic growth in the OSCE region through preventing and combating corruption through innovation, transparency and digitalization”. The event took place in Prague (Czech Republic) on September 10-11, 2020.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to interagency cooperation in the field of preventing and combating corruption, the development of new anti-corruption strategies in the digital era.
Representative of the Financial Investigations Department Aleksandr Prakopenko made a presentation on Belarus experience in combating money laundering and terrorist financing, illustrating the effectiveness of measures taken in the country and the effectiveness of cooperation with neighboring states in combating these crimes with specific examples.
The forum participants also discussed topical issues of increasing the transparency of the budget and public procurement, enhancing the use of digital tools in the field of e-government and preventing corruption, and implementing the asset declaration policy. They also discussed the rational and efficient use of natural resources, methods of combating illegal traffic in wildlife and natural resources.
