Presentation of the activities of the State Control Committee of Belarus was done at the meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on Key National Indicators
Representatives of the State Control Committee of Belarus took part in the 12th meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group Key National Indicators, which took place in Bratislava (Slovakia) from 2 to 4 April 2019.

The event was attended by representatives of the supreme audit institutions (SAIs) of 18 States. In total, the INTOSAI Working Group on KNI includes SAIs of 27 countries, including three new members - Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kuwait.

The State Control Committee was represented at the event by the Aleksandr Kurlypo, Deputy Chairman and the Dmitry Sanko, Head of the Main Analytical Department.

The representatives of SAI of Belarus made a presentation of the activities of the State Control Committee of Belarus and presented the information on its structure, main goals and objectives, priority activities, development of international cooperation. Special attention was paid to the system of state forecasts of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus as key national indicators.

Representatives of the SAIs of Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Slovakia, as well as the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and AFROSAI-E, also made presentations. They shared their experience in using key national indicators and auditing the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In total, the agenda of the meeting included more than 10 issues. The meeting participants discussed a report on the activities of the INTOSAI Working Group on KNI over the past year and approved a work plan for 2019. 
The participants considered the Progress reports on Guidance on audit of the use and development of key national indicators and the Guidance on the audit of macroeconomic forecasts. A separate topic of the discussion was the preparation for the XXIII INTOSAI Congress, which will be held in Moscow in September 2019.

Aleksandr Kurlypo presented Belarus as the host country for the 13th meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group on KNI. The next meeting will be held in Minsk in the spring of 2020.

During the visit to Slovakia, a bilateral meeting of Deputy Chairman Aleksandr Kurlypo and Mr. Karol Mitrik, Head of Supreme Audit Office of Slovakia, was held.
The Parties summed up the parallel audit of the public procurement system in an electronic contract system conducted in 2018. Slovak colleagues shared their experience in conducting of performance audits in the fields of health. The participants of the meeting discussed the program of a joint seminar on the digitalization of public administration, including the use of an audit information system of the SAI of Slovakia. This seminar will be held in Minsk in May 2019.


INTOSAI (International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions) is an international non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Currently, INTOSAI unites the SAIs of 194 countries of the world.
