Meeting of the Interdepartmental Council for Control (Supervisory) Activities was held in the State Control Committee
The first meeting of the Interdepartmental Council for Control (Supervisory) Activities was held in the State Control Committee.
The Interdepartmental Council for Control (Supervisory) Activities  was established under the State Control Committee in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of October 16, 2017 No. 376 "On measures to improve control (supervisory) activity". Head of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov is appointed as a Chairman of the Council. The Council was composed of representatives of the State Control Committee, the General Prosecutor's Office, other state bodies, as well as representatives of the business community.
The Council is a collegial body that ensures the interaction of control and supervisory agencies. Among its main tasks is to analyze the control (supervisory) activity and develop proposals to improve its effectiveness; reducing the control pressure on business entities; formation of progressive directions of development of control (supervisory) activity; introduction of advanced foreign experience in the activities of the control (supervisory) bodies of Belarus.
The Council must form unified approaches to the organization of control (supervisory) activities, as well as organize effective interaction of supervisory (supervisory) bodies, including the exchange of relevant data on the planning, organization and conduct of control activities.
One of the functions of the Council is to review and agree on the criteria for assessing the risk degree for the selection of audited entities to conduct spot checks. Such criteria should be approved by all 39 government agencies conducting inspections by February 1, 2018.
It was the main topic of discussion at the first meeting of the Council. During the meeting was taken the decision to form the commission, which will consider the criteria for assessing the risk degree presented by control and supervisory agencies before these criteria will be approved. As Leonid Anfimov explained, the commission will be composed of representatives of state agencies that have the right to conduct inspections.
