During the meeting were discussed issues related to the implementation of the project "Strengthening the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership Countries (EaP) to monitor the achievement of Agenda 2030 objectives”.
Within the framework of project the parallel performance audit in the area of Sustainable Development Goal 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages” is going to be conduct in each of countries participating in the project.
Aleksandr Kurlypo informed the participants of the meeting on measures taken in the Republic of Belarus to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. He noted that the budget expenditures on education and medicine in our country are traditionally the most significant. At the same time, the Committee of State Control of Belarus, as the supreme audit institution, pays close attention to the development and functioning of the socio-economic sphere. In their work the controllers use various methods of control, but the priority is given to the preventive and preventive measures, including monitoring and performance audits.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the SAIs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine.
The Memorandum provides not only the conducting joint parallel control activities, but also the exchange of experience in the field of methodology and standardization of external public audit (control), information and materials on the activities of the SAI, including standards and guidelines in the field of external public financial audit (control), organization of professional conferences, trainings and seminars.
